7 Peaks
We bought a 'pass of all passes' again this year because they practically give those things away. I sort of regretted it still because basically everyone in Utah County + more gets them and so everything is super crowded! We decided to brave the crowds yesterday and take Tavvin over to 7 Peaks for some sunshine and swimmin'. It was really crowded, but since we didn't do anything you have to wait in line for, it didn't bother us too bad. The kiddie pool is packed wall to wall, so we took Tav over to the wave pool and put him in a floatie. He loves the water! We had fun and I'm glad we got to go. I remember last year I had to work almost every Saturday and I hated not being able to do any fun things during the day with Shad(not to mention the whole year before that when I had school on Saturdays from 6-3, bleh), so I appreciate it more this year.
I love me some sunshine, so I'll take whatever I can get! One more time to 7 Peaks and we'll get more than our money's worth out of our passes!

California Trip Part II
On the 4th day there we had the bright idea to go to Disneyland. In the summer. On a beautiful, sunny day... it was soo packed.
About to go on Star Tours. I got so sick! I get really bad motion sickness...
Space Mountain is my favorite Disney ride. I get so scared though, and at the end Shad grabbed my hand and threw it in the air. Made for a good picture :).
This group stayed at the park as late as they allow! Crazy bunch. This was their second run on Space Mountain and they decided to play it cool haha.

On the morning of the 5th day I decided to take a walk down to the harbor to check out the boats. Not my prettiest picture, but I wanted to show off all the cool yachts. There were so many!
Later that day we drove up to Newport beach and walked the pier.

Afterward we drove around Balboa and took the ferry to Balboa Island (picture below is from the ferry). We spent the night shopping at Fashion Island Mall, I love that place!
On our last day we were determined to get a good beach day! We headed over to Aliso Beach in Laguna (my dad's favorite) and waited for the sun, which finally came out around 1. (Little did we know it was burning us through the clouds and we all got some sunburn).

Grandpa holding Tav. We were so happy my dad got to get some good beach time. It's not something he thought he'd be able to do again after his accident, so it was really sweet.
This looks like the ultimate beach party... We really just got smoothies and frozen ice and didn't have a garbage to get rid of them in!
The waves at Aliso were HUGE. The boys had so much fun running from them.
It was such a fun vacation and I'm so glad we got to go! I love having time to spend with my family like that. It was so nice to just have a whole week to spend exclusively with the fam. I'm hoping this becomes an annual event again (it used to be when I was little)!

Steed California Trip 2013
This past week my family all went down to Dana Point, California for a family vacation. We stayed in a beautiful home overlooking the local beach and it was really nice! We spent the week shopping, eating, sunbathing, and enjoying some fun family time. I took a ton of pictures, so I will be splitting this into several posts. Still a photo overload though!

Our first day there we went exploring and ended up @ Doheny beach.
It was too cold and windy for beach stuff though, so we ended up driving up to Laguna to walk around the shops & boardwalk.
That first night we celebrated Spencer's birthday by going to dinner at The Shwack Grill. It was good!
The next morning we did some more exploring and took a walk around the neighborhood. I love seeing all the different flowers they have there.
It was pretty cold again, but we decided to head to the beach anyway. We ended up at a beach in San Clemente. Everyone still had fun exploring and chasing waves.

All that beach time made us tired! Not to mention, Tavvin didn't sleep too well at night being out of his element.
The third day of the trip was finally sunny! We took advantage and went to my favorite beach of the trip: the beach at The Ritz Carlton.

Tavvin didn't love the sand, he mostly wanted to eat it... So he and I were happiest when he was doing this:
