Baby Shower

Haven, Amanda, and Stacey threw me a baby shower and was amazing! They are all so creative and crafty and the shower turned out beautifully. I feel so thankful and blessed. 

5 Years

Shad and I celebrated our 5th anniversary this year on the 11th of July. We sort of counted our cruise earlier this year as our anniversary celebration but we still did a little on the actual day. I was lame and just got Shad a bag of some of his favorite treats, but Shad surprised me with a massage and pedicure that morning. It was seriously the sweetest thing and I loved it. That night we left Tavvin with Stacey and had dinner together at PF Changs. 

I can't believe it's been 5 years, but I am so happy and so so glad that I made the decision to marry Shad and that he picked me too! He is an amazing husband and father and I feel so incredibly lucky to have him. I love him even more now than I did when I married him and I wouldn't have imagined that to be possible. 

Johnson Reunion/July 4th Part 2

The night of the 4th we went back to the park for the fireworks. Stacey brought a bunch of glow sticks for the kids and Tavvin couldn't get enough of them. He was having so much fun. He wouldn't stay by us and it was dark out so Shad decked him out in a bunch of glow sticks so we wouldn't lose him. It was pretty funny. The fireworks were the first he'd seen this year and he was completely mesmorized. He fell asleep during the end of the show, though, because he was so worn out from the glow stick madness.

The last day before we left we went to the city pool, had a little photo shoot with our matching shirts on, then got towhee for both lunch and dinner. Stacey brought a bunch of fun photo albums to dinner. It was fun to see kids pictures of Shad, his cousins, and siblings and compare how much their kids look like them. Also fun to see younger photos of Shad's parents and aunts and uncles. 

Johnson Family Reunion/July 4th

Stacey planned a family reunion over the 4th this year in Blanding for the Johnson's and it was a lot of fun! It was a whirlwind weekend that we needed to sleep a lot after but it was so much fun! 

We spent the first day at Britney and Zeb's ranch. It was really pretty. We played games and socialized and ate. I unfortunately had bad allergies all day and forgot medicine, but we all still had a good time. 

On the 4th we went to the parade, went I the fair the city has, then had a carnival and BBQ with the whole family. Amanda and I did face painting at the carnival do I didn't get good pics but there were a lot of cute booths.

Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days

We have made a little tradition of making it to the PG Strawberry Days (or just have happened to go two years in a row?). It's a fun little carnival that comes every summer. They sell strawberries and cream-which actually always sounds better than it really is-and have rides an carnival food. It was more fun this year because we went with Haven's family and Cody's family and got tickets for all the kids to ride some rides together. This was Tav's first time on rides like this and he loved them! We could hardly get him off after they were over. We all went to Los Hermanos after for dinner. It was a little chaotic because the kids were all worn out from the hot carnival, but it was fun. 

Car seat Cover

I made another car seat cover because I had more fabric and liked it a little better than the first one. I love the combo, but somehow made it a little less wide than it needed to be. Oh well. 

Father's Day

On Father's Day this year we went to Ogden and ate dinner with my family. I snapped a few pictures of Shad and Tav because they looked so cute together. Shad's wearing his present-a new shirt. 

Date Nights/Cousin Time

We used to trade regularly, but now just randomly from time to time, date night babysitting. It's so nice to have Shad's siblings all live really close and for Tav to get to spend a lot of time with his cousins. He's especially fond of Jaidyn lately and since they're so close in age and size Amanda and I call them our twins. They fight like siblings but they also are really sweet with each other and like making each other laugh. The twins adore Shad and love playing on the phone or iPad with him.
