Just Life Lately: April Edition

^ Getting out of the house and enjoying all the dry and rocks!
^ Harlow furniture shopping with mom while Tav is in school
^ Spontaneous trips to the park after we pick Tav up from school
^ My silly guy, he loves to make people laugh.
^ Loving life on "Grams Day"
^ Harlow just loves shoes. She puts on everyone's shoes and wears them around. She also loves books-big and small!
^ Harlow had me put these headbands on her. I showed her what she looked like on the phone and this was her reaction to her image. Too cute.
^ We love having Jaid over to play! The kids all love driving this car around the unfinished basement.
^ I just love seeing my babes asleep. They are so peaceful!
^ Walking around in mom's shoes

Just Life Lately: May Edition

^ Playing "Store" with Tavvin. I've had to get creative with things to do with him. He is completely incapable of entertaining himself, but I get exhausted keeping him entertained all day! I usually let him watch an hour or so of shows in the afternoon so that I can get a break
^ We visited farm country with Tav's preschool one day. Harlow loved it, I need to take her back!
^ The same day as farm country we met up with Haven and her kids at Highland Glen park to picnic and play in the sand. The kids loved it! I need to go back
^ We love to watch all the construction that goes on in the neighborhood from our front porch
^ Tavvin is my little cooking/baking buddy. He loves to help when I'm working in the kitchen
^ Driving home from the fathers and sons camp out. Looks like they didn't get much sleep! Tavvin loves Trey and Trey is such a good cousin/friend!
^ Ice cream at Macey's for FHE
^ One of Tav's favorite things to do is search our dirt for spiders and for dirt clods to throw at the driveway. Harlow just loves to be outside, but she will just take off and never look back!
^ one Saturday night we went to dinner at Cubby's (yum) then met up with the cousins at the movie theater to see Angry Birds. Everyone loved the movie except Harlow-she's still a little young to sit through a whole movie.
^ Eating Texas Roadhouse Rolls (double yum)
^ Mr. Independent had to push the stroller all by himself to and from the mailbox. It was really sweet.
^ Cutest cousin friends.
^ Harlow is a little fish!

Just Life Lately: June Edition

^Shad and I went to the annual golf tournament/one night stay at Hotel Park City with Inside Out-a furniture company Shad works with. I look forward to this every year! I get a free short spa treatment, a free amazing meal at Ruth's Chris, and this fantastic view! Plus a whole night with Shad to myself!
^Tavvin often wakes up too early, has way too much energy all day, then crashes just late enough in the day to not be tired at bedtime, ha! But he doesn't usually fall asleep on me and I just loved it! I will let him take any nap if he falls asleep cuddled next to me :)
^ In our Sunday best after church
^ Stacey had the kids over every morning last Tuesday-Friday while she was babysitting Amanda's kids. She had a theme every day and the kids had so much fun! This was cars day. They each decorated their own car then sat in them for a drive in movie to Cars!
^ Powdered donut faced cutie
^ Harlow loves her "Pwincess Awio" Jammie's and wearing my shoes everywhere
^This was another day in grams week, water day! The kids couldn't have had more fun

^ One Saturday while running errands, I decided last minute to stop at a donut shop and have a little donut date with Tav! He picked root-beer and I picked maple bacon. It was fun! I need more one on one dates with Tav in my life!

Blanding Memorial Weekend

We went to Blanding over Memorial Day weekend and it was such a great trip! I'll be honest, I was dreading some parts of it! I thought the drive would be terrible with Harlow and that we would get zero sleep which would ruin the trip! Sadly, we did almost get zero sleep, but somehow it didn't ruin the trip and Harlow actually did really great in the car!

The first day we went to a place called cottonwood which was pretty magical! It was this spot in a river where the rocks went down to shallow water and the kids loved it! It was beautiful weather and we had a great time. We ended that day at a different spot south of Blanding where we did a hike to some Indian ruins then had Dutch oven dinner. I loved it all! And of course the kids were in heaven with unlimited dirt and rocks, and even tadpoles (or tad-a-poles as they kept calling them).

Sunday we visited the Webbs old Ward and it was fun! Blanding has such a sense of community and everyone was so nice. We hiked up dry wash on the mountain that afternoon as well as visited a newly expanded reservoir. It was all so gorgeous and the weather was perfection! We spent dinner with all the Johnson clan and it was so fun to see them all.

The worst part of the trip was that we all got stuck in traffic for several hours in the canyon on the way home. The sunset behind the windmills was the only good that came out of that! All in all the trip was a blast and I would do it again!
